Majuro Science Fair a Success

The first-ever Majuro wide Science Fair featured projects from the College of the Marshall Islands, Majuro Middle School and the Co-op School.  Some 20 entries were submitted from area schools. Every team had an opportunity to explain their entry to the judges.  During the award ceremony for the Embassy co-sponsored event, Ambassador Armbruster said he was impressed with the breadth of entries–everything from projects on the solar system to fungi in area classrooms—and he also praised students for the relevance of their projects.  Many focused on environmental concerns including the link between toxicity in the water and fish mortality, recycling, and waste management.  Health was another important theme.  Congratulations and thanks to all sponsors, participants, and judges!  See you at next year’s fair!
