Pacific Partnership 2013 Commences in the RMI

The opening ceremony of the Pacific Partnership 13 Mission to the Marshall Islands took place on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Delap Park.  The ceremony kicked off  two weeks of humanitarian and infrastructure projects and activities that are will take place on Majuro and Ebeye.  Commanding Officer Commander Michael Harris of the USS Pearl Harbor introduced the Pacific Partnership Mission to the RMI.  The United States Ambassador Thomas H. Armbruster emphasized how the Pacific Partnership came about in response to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.   Captain Anthony Millar (RNZAF), the Pacific Partnership 13 Deputy Mission Commander, expressed appreciation and gratitude to the RMI for welcoming Pacific Partnership.  In response for the RMI Government, the Honorable Phillip H. Muller, Minister of the Foreign Affairs, thanked the Pacific Partnership Mission and welcomed it to the RMI.
