Engineers and planners from the United States Army and Navy joined representative from the RMI government and the U.S. Embassy in Majuro on a visit to Aur atoll on November 7 as part of a planning exercise for the upcoming “Pacific Partnership” exercise in 2013. Minister Hilda Heine – the senator from Aur – escorted the team through the villages of Aur and Tabal. The United States and the RMI will be gearing up over the next few months for the exciting ship visit and humanitarian assistance mission in 2013 called Pacific Partnership. The visit will undertake medical, dental, and construction repairs in Majuro, Kwajalein, and in other outer atolls, perhaps including Aur.
